This is a picutre of a picture, so the quality isn't all that great, but it is me when I was a baby. Ofcourse, the bottom picture is Allie Kay. When I saw my baby pictures I could not believe how much they looked like Allie. I had always thought that she looked a lot more like Michael than me, but when I look at my baby pictures it is like I am looking at my little dollbaby..

One Potato, Two Potato, Sweet Potato, Four
Allie's first food besides cereal was yummy sweet potatoes! She liked them, especially when I warmed them up a little bit. She is just the cutest thing ever! We were getting ready for bed last night and were playing with Allie on our bed. I went to the laundry room to get a load out of the dryer, and when I came back in I heard these little high pitched squeels. When I got back to the bedroom Michael was singing "You are my Sunshine" to Allie and every other word she would just squeel at him. I loved it, and I know Michael did!

This Morning
I went in to check on Allie this morning and I could tell she was about to wake up because she was on her side, her beginning efforts to flip to her back before she wakes up. Well, I had to capture our morning routine on camera. I got a picture of her asleep, and I got a picture of her little face when she first saw me. She is my little dollbaby!

New Mom Alert!!
I mean I should come with a disclaimer, "yes, I am a new mom, and I do freak out every time my daughter does something different, or not exactly how I think she should!" I hope I am not alone here, but anytime Allie doesn't eat as much as I think she should, eats more than I think she should, cries a little more than I think she should, and the list goes on and on, I start going into panic mode and think of all of the things that could be wrong with her. For instance, just earlier this week she was eating every two to two and a half hours and waking up constantly at night, hence I thought she was eating too much. Today, she has gone three and a half and sometimes four hours, and I am trying to force milk down the poor thing's throat because I think she needs to eat. Poor little Allie, I know that my second child will be much easier!! She is catching the brunt of "mommy has no idea what she is doing or what you are supposed to be doing!" I guess this is all part of it! I love every bit of this learning experience, and she should have me all trained up before the next child comes along!!

Well last night we went back to waking up three times despite all of my best efforts. But who cares. I have a beautiful, healthy little girl that lights up every time I walk in the room. I got her out of her bed this morning and put her by me, and when she looked up the biggest smile you have ever seen came accross her face and I just melted. Michael came in to join in on playtime, and just as soon as she saw him that same big smile came over her face. We are blessed beyond measure. Thank you God for our precious gift!

Who Wants Some Cereal
Well, to my dismay my little pumkin started waking me up about three times a night, starving to death. Used to I could just pat her back to sleep and she was down to just waking me up once a night, well patting just wasn't cutting it these past couple of weeks, she wanted food!! Then, it got to where she was waking up about five times a night, three times to eat, and the other two just for the fun of it. Well, I figured out that it was a combination of her needing a little bit more than mommy's milk, and the yucky first signs of teething. So, I started giving her cereal when me and her daddy eat, and putting orajel on her little gums, and we are back to just once a night! Thank God for cereal and orajel!!

Bath Time now = Fun Time
Hallelujiah!! My little buger now likes bath time! She just sits there and smiles at me while I sing her BINGO, which for some reason is the fix all song. I bath ever crease and crevice now and she is actually ok with it! I love this child so much, and have been wanting to enjoy bath time with her for such a long time. Now it is just me, Allie, and rubber ducky splishing and splashing and taking a bath. She is so sweet. I could just eat her to pieces!

LOOK WHO FOUND THUMPY
Allie's Nap Time Routine
1. I talk really sweet to Allie and explain to her that it is nap time and put her in the bed.
2. I see a little head bobbing around as she talks to who knows who in her crib. She rolls back and forth from her tummy to her back until she is really sleepy, usually lasts about 5 minutes.
3. The fussing begins which usually only lasts about 10 minutes at the most.
4. Blissful sleep until she gets hungry, usually lasts around 1-2 hours.

PRECIOUS!!
The other night Michael and I were ready for bed so we brought Allie in our room and played with her on our bed for a little while. When she started to get a little fussy, we put her in her bassinet and told her it was night night time. Well, the most precious thing in the whole world happened. We didn't hear any fussing and I looked over at her bassinet and saw these little eyes peeking over the side. She was just staring at us and smiling, and she did that for about ten minutes before she finally went to sleep. I think she liked the fact that we were in the room with her because usually when I put her to bed we haven't gone yet so she is in the room alone. It was so hard not to just pick her up and let her sleep with us so we could hold her, but I know that that would just be the beginning of three people in our queen size bed so I had to resist!!

The Exersaucer!
The first couple of times I put Allie in the exersaucer, she wasn't too sure about it. This time when I put her in though, she loved it. Her eyes got really big everytime I would show her what each toy did, and she just squealed and smiled for a long time. Of course, she tries to eat everything and eventually ends up chewing on the seat and ready to get out, but anything to keep her occupied for a little while is great for me. She is becoming a pro at the noise makers on the exersaucer, and she is starting to understand that she can move around in the little seat. She is just so precious!

I Can Sit Up, Well Kind-Of
I tell you what. Every day Allie just amazes me more and more with how she is growing up I wanted to just see if she could sit up at all, and to my surprise she could. She is not quite four months yet so these precious little attempts at sitting up only last about ten seconds, but she loves it. She immediately tries to get her toes though, so when she sees her irresistable little feet it is tumble forward time! She even likes to tumbles over though. The other day, I would sit her up just so she would tumble over and we made a little game over it and we were both laughing after a few tumbles!
Bath Time with Allie
Guess what. Our last bath with Allie was wonderful!! No screaming at the top of her lungs, no looking at me like "what are you doing to me and how could you be so hateful," and no running around like frantic trying to get her to calm down. It usually goes like this: Undress Allie, hand her to Michael, talk to her so sweet and show her rubber ducky until we get a smile, Michael slowly lowers her into the water, Allie's smile turns to a frown, then the tears come, then the yelling and screaming, then she turns beat red, them mommy and daddy tag team her to make bathtime over as quickly as possible!!! I even let her play in her bathtub during the day in hopes that it will help our poor little dumplin during her baths. However last time, we showed her rubber ducky, slowly put her in the water, anticipated the screams of horror, but they never came! We even got a few smiles before Michael took her out of the tub, dried her off, put her diaper on her, all without one little cry! I hope to our good Lord that this is the start of happy bath times! Today is bath day so I will have to post how she does!

Michael and I enjoy Allie so much. Michael thought it would be cute to put Allie's onesie on her head, and it was!!! Poor little thing, she has no idea what in the world we are doing to her half the time. She has both of our hearts though, and I can already tell that her daddy will not be able to tell her no unless what she wants to do is just detrimental to her health! When he comes home for lunch from work, he is so upset if she is asleep. If she wakes up while he is here, he drops his sanwich and runs to her room to get her. She always calms down when he gets her up from a nap. Me, I have to nurse her to get her to stop crying! Hey, whatever works right!!!

My Little Girl is Growing Up!!
I cannot believe how much Allie is changing every day, in her looks and in her personality. She is growing, especially length wise, every day it seems like. She is developing her own little special personality, which is sweet most of the time but she has no problem letting me know when she isn't happy! She has created this little high pitch squeal that lets me know I better do something quick or else. She also spits now as she sticks her tongue out and "rattles" it. She copies me sometimes when I make her noises, and she seems amazed that I can do the same things that she does. She is trying to grab her toes now when I change her diaper, and she is laughing the cutest little laugh and every time she does it I have to restrain myself from just eating her up! Michael put a tater tot in front of her the other day, and she ofcourse started licking it immediately. I can tell it won't be long before mommy's milk won't be enough. In church, she has learned to talk to the person behind us, and she sings along sometimes too! I tell you what, I just can't get enough of her these days! I am just amazed at how much I can love a little tiny human being, and I grow more in love with her every day.
