Got to love Saturdays!

I absolutely love Saturdays! On Saturday, I refuse to clean toilets, mop, vacuum, do any major cooking, or do anything major for that matter. I just kind of do the absolute necessities (can't stand unmaid beds, a dirty kitchen, and unswept floors,) but other than that I can pretty much deal with it. So, I actually have time to blog. I know it has been a while, but this week has been different for me. I actually started working part time at the bank I used to work at two days a week. I am really enjoying it so far, and it keeps Michael from having to have a second job on Saturdays so that makes it SO WORTH IT! It kind of gives me a little relaxation time too, and Allie stays with her Mimi and they just have a ball together. In fact, I go to pick her up and she just looks at me like, oh it's you, hey mom, so I don't feel bad about leaving her at all. As long as it works out where I only have to work a couple of days a week, I still feel like a stay at home mom and I feel like I am being a help meet to my sweetie pie, so it all works out! I am working on borrowed time here because Allie is sleeping and I am sure it won't last much longer so I will not bore you anymore with the details of my life and get on to what you really want to see...pictures of Allie!

Hey, Sis Dana,

I'm reading "between your lines" but not seeing dejection because you HAD to return to a workplace. Sounds like a good supplement to the household income, Bro Mike gets to be home on Saturdays, Allie gets to spend quality time with her Granny, and Granny gets to spend quality time with Allie. Win-win!

I'm with you. I make my bed soon as we're out of it. I can't tolerate a yucky toilet so if I'm not in my scrubbing mode, it gets a shot of bleach to freshen. When I attended my Aunt Pearl's funeral a few years back, that statement was part of the eulogy given in her memory by her pastor: Mrs. Rowland loved her soap operas and she LOVED a clean house. I was told that in all her years of housekeeping, she NEVER left the house unless her beds were made.

The pics of Allie with the water hose, what wholesome entertainment for a child. All my children, my GRANDchildren, all the children I've ever spent time with, have enjoyed the water hose. And, it was precious how they kind'a suck their breath in and their eyes get wide when they first feel the coldness on their skin.

Angie (daughter) teaches behaviorally challenged young children and brought them to our house for a field day this past Wednesday. Six children who have never seen a chicken, fed a goat, road on hay bales behind the tractor, splashed in a creek. We AND they had a blast. Angie had bought a weird snake-like attachment to a water hose that sends water shooting all over the place (good sprinkler we've decided for the garden) and the children donned bathing suits and had the BEST time running around trying the dodge the erratic streams of water. They went away exhausted.

Well, love you folks, and hope to see your bright faces in a little bit at our precious House of Worship.

Because of Him, I am free,

First of all, LOVE the pictures of her with the water hose! She has the best smile ever! Second, go you for working a couple of days in the week so Michael can be home on Saturdays! You will love Saturdays even more that way. Can't wait to see you all soon.
